On this page you can find photos submitted by users. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case at least a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 31.05.2018 - Drilus sp.?? Also ... diesmal habe ich gewartet ... und gewartet ... und gewartet ... ob irgendwo ein Drilinchen auftauchen würde. Ich habe es ausserdem mit ZEN (!) versucht, anstatt: Werde Bambus ... werde Drilus! Aber NIX! Drilus flog ab ... die kleine Helferin war überfordert ... doch Drilus suchte zahlreich im MTB nach Weibern!! Aargau, Hardwald Kaisten auf ca. 330 m üNN. Comment: Hallo Chris, das ist Drilus flavescens. Bei uns gibt es nur zwei Drilus-Arten, die leicht unterschieden werden können. Augenfällig ist die verschiedenartige Färbung, Drilus concolor ist ganz schwarz. Was die Weibchen angeht: TJA! Die habe ich auch noch nie gesehen. Da selbst Zen nicht hilft, hast du natürlich selbst schon bemerkt, dass das nicht so einfach ist. Während die Männchen oft gut sichtbar in der Vegetation sitzen, halten die Weibchen sich lieber versteckt. Die Männchen dürften auch eher die Weibchen anfliegen, als dass sie sie zu sich kommen lassen. Wenn der Käfer also seine Geliebte gefunden hat, müsstest du ihm, sobald er losfliegt, schnell hinterherlaufen, um seine Partnerin aufzustöbern ;-) Vielleicht läuft dir ja auch eines Tages einfach ein Drilinchen über den Weg... ich wünsche jedenfalls viel Glück! Best regards, Christoph Hi hania, unfortunately we change this one to Anobium sp., Anobium pertinax (meanwhile placed in genus Hadrobregmus) should have golden hair on the posterior lateral margins of the pronotum. I think this should be one of the three species that still remain in genus Anobium, maybe Anobium punctatum, but I cannot give a species ID here unfortunately. Sorry and best regards, Moritz
