View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

LG, Christoph

Request: Curculionidae spec.
Location : Lommel, Belgium
Dry forest, found on oak
Date : 29-09-2018
Length : Approx 14mm.
Best regards
Species, family:
Brachyderes lusitanicus
Curculionidae
Comment: Hallo verstraeten, this might be Brachyderes lusitanicus but I never saw that species and the pronotum is no good fit and the remaining characteristics hard to see, but the white scales at the shoulders and the underside make lusitanicus extremely likely. Maybe one of the others will delete the cf. Viele Grüße, Holger I remove the cf. Regards, Christoph
