On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo Käfertem, sieht nach Cantharis rustica aus, Größe ca. 14mm, Schönes Wochenende, Gruß udo
Species, family:
Cantharis nigricans
Cantharidae

Request: Hello. Thank you for ID this Trichius. Found: 9.6.2012, Slovakia-Kosice.
Regards, Karol
Species, family:
Trichius sp.
Scarabaeidae
Comment: Hi Karol, Trichius fasciatus can be most probably excluded. However, the two remaining species, T. zonatus and T. sexualis are both present in Slovakia and we would need a photo of the underside to judge the scales on the abdomen, prefereably of a male. Best regards, Christoph
