View answered requests for beetle ID

On this page you can find photos submitted by users. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case at least a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given. Requests to the kerbtier.de ID team can be submitted on the request page. The answered requests are published here shortly (currently 2 hours on average) after submitting.

Request:
At home, Gemunde/Maia, at 31-03-2019, on Hepatic plant (yet to be identified with certainty) on humid wall w/ several bryophyt and hepatic plants,on typical habitat of Northwest Portugal, so very tiny. CURCULIONIDAE Tychius pusillus ? (ID? on Kerbtier.de). Thank you (again)
Species, family:
cf. Exapion sp.  Apionidae
Comment:
Hi Carlos, I think this might be a representative of genus Exapion. But this is just an educated guess. An expert for the Portuguese fauna should have a look at a specimen. Best regards, Christoph
