  Hi Lucgast, this is the adventive weevil Pachyrhinus lethierryi. Originating from France and Sardinia, it is spreading in Germany since 2001 from South to North. It develops in cypresses, probably you noticed Cypresses at the place of discovery. Regards, Christoph

  Moin Christoph, dabei ist das ein Bilderbuchtier. Tritoma bipustulata verrät sich durch seinen Habitus und die gekeulten Fühler eigentlich ziemlich gut und die Färbung ist einzigartig gepaart mit den anderen Merkmalen..., zumindest bei uns. ;-) Viele Grüße, Klaas

Comment:
  Hi Inja, that's the weevil Polydrusus mollis. Common throughout Europe. Eurytopic, arboricolous. Beetle on deciduous trees and shrubs. Larger (6 - 9,5 mm) than the similar sister species P. pallidus (4,3 - 5,3 mm). The latter lives on coniferous trees. Regards, Christoph

  Hi Inja, yes, this is Halyzia sedecimguttata. Palearctic species, Europe, Caucasus, Asia Minor, Siberia. A rather common species of forests, living on deciduous trees, occasionally on conifers. Feeds on mildew fungi (Erysiphaceae). Regards, Christoph

Gut zu erkennen durch metallische Farbe (neben grünen kommen auch blaue oder rot-goldene Exemplare vor) und Halsschildform in Kombination mit den "Höckern" in den Schulterecken der Flügeldecken. In ganz Europa von April bis August auf Erlenarten zu finden. lg gernot
