On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Philonthus politus. Müsste er sein, denke ich, die Fühlerglieder sehen quer aus. Der Käfer hatte es sich auf einer Malve gemütlich gemacht. Ungewöhnlich, aber wenn ich darüber nachdenke, stimme ich zu, dass das ein schöner Ort für eine Rast sein könnte. RL ca. 5,2mm. 21.07.2019

aus einem vergammelten Heuhaufen am Waldrand, eigentlich in allen Bundesländern recht häufig zu finden. vor allem in Heu und Strohhaufen und daher auch in fast jedem Stall. Die geringe Anzahl der Fundpunkte deutet darauf hin, dass er vor allem wegen der "Größe" oft übersehen wird.

Request: Tasgius pedator (Ocypus pedator)! Die Begegnung freute mich besonders. Zuvor an diesem Tag war mir bereits ein mutmaßlicher T. pedator entkommen, bevor ich Bilder machen konnte. Was für ein Glück, dass mir ein Weiterer über den Weg lief! Er war auch extrem schnell und nicht so kooperativ, aber ein paar Bilder waren möglich. Auf einem Feldweg, 29.07.2019 Danke!
