View answered requests for beetle ID

On this page you can find photos submitted by users. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case at least a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given. Requests to the kerbtier.de ID team can be submitted on the request page. The answered requests are published here shortly (currently 2 hours on average) after submitting.

Hi Inja, this is a representative of genus Larinus. But they become quite speciose in the South, so no determination for us possible based on photos. Best regards, Christoph   Hi, in my mind two possible species: 1. Larinus obtusus or 2. Rhinocyllus conicus. Best regards, klaas   Dear Inja, I've been contacted by Robert S., an expert for the Eastern European weevil fauna, who confirmed your specimen as Larinus obtusus. Regards, Christoph

Hallo ! 16 mm .(Belgium 7830 Silly - 12/09/2014). Ocypus ? Danke und Viele Grüße.
Species, family:
Ocypus cf. melanarius  Staphylinidae
Comment:
LG, Christoph
