On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Gefunden am 28.03.2015 an einer Hausmauer am Dorfrand, Oberpfalz auf ca. 500 müNN. Körperlänge ca. 3,5 mm

gefunden am 20.03.2015 an einer Hausmauer, Dorfrand Oberpfalz auf ca. 500 müNN. Körperlänge ca. 9 mm. Amara dürfte klar sein, aber dann? Geht es in Richtung A. similata?

Request: An einer Hauswand, 28.03.2015 etwa 25mm (geschätzt). Ich tät das für Meloe sp. halten, wegen der Elytren. ZB M. violaceus, Mann. Ob das stimmt?

Comment: Hallo Rolf, es handelt sich um ein frisch geschlüpftes Weibchen (feiner Knick im Fühler) von Meloe violaceus oder proscarabaeus. Um die beiden sicher am Foto zu trennen, braucht man scharfe Aufnahmen, auf denen man die Punktierung des Halsschilds erkennt, fein bei M. violaceus, grober bei M. proscarabaeus. Wobei die eingebuchtete Halsschildbasis für M. violaceus spricht. Aber ich setz mal ein cf., es sei denn einer meiner Co-Admins traut sich es wegzunehmen. LG, Christoph

Request: Hallo liebe Experten, bei diesem gut 15mm langen Kurzflügler tippe ich auf Ocypus melanarius, wegen Körperform und Kiel auf dem Thorax; liege ich richtig? Funddaten: Deutschland, Bayern, Donau-Auwald bei Ingolstadt, in morschem Holz, 25.03.2015.

Comment: Hallo Jörg, Gattung Ocypus ist bestätigt und O. melanarius ist auf jeden Fall eine mögliche Wahl. Allerdings wär's mir hier wohler, ich könnte den unter'm Bino sehen. Zu O. melanarius gibt's außerdem mit O. winkleri und O. globulifer Verwechslungsarten. Alle drei werden inzwischen in die Gattung Tasgius gestellt. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hi Gert, confirmed as Platycis minutus. Easily recognized by the black pronotum and the yellow tips of the antennae. From Europe to Siberia and Japan. The beetles can be found in forests and at the edges of forests on shrubs and decaying wood. Larval development takes place in decaying wood of deciduous and coniferous trees. Best regards, Christoph

Request: Melde mich wieder eimal und sehe mit Erstaunen die Neuerungen. ÖsterREICH hab ich gefunden, aber wo ist ÖsterARM? ;-)
Der Käfer war heute am 29.03.2015 im Amphibienkübel, fotografiert auf meinem Froschhandschuh, ca. 6 mm groß, vermute Anchomenus dorsalis. Herzliche flattr-Grüße, Christine
