On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 12.4.2015, begrünte Haldenlandschaft, ca. 4 mm groß
Einige dieser Tiere kletterten auf meinem, an einen umgestürzten Baum gelehnten Rucksack umher. Nach Bildvergleich bin ich auf Plataraea brunnea gestoßen. Könnte das stimmen?

Comment: Hallo Gregor, es handelt sich um Drusilla canaliculata. In Mitteleuropa gibt es nur diese eine Art der Gattung. In Deutschland bundesweit recht häufig, mit Ameisen vergesellschaftet. LG, Christoph

Comment: Hallo Gert, das ist ein Polydrusus mollis. In Europa weit verbreitet. Eurytop, arboricol. Käfer vor allem den Blattknospen verschiedener Laubbäume. Größer (6 - 9,5 mm) als die Verwechslungsart P. pallidus (4,3 - 5,3 mm), die zudem auf Nadelbäumen vorkommt. LG, Christoph
