On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: 20.09.2020; dass die "Schwarzkäferjagd" ein voller Erfolg wurde, dafür sorgte mein Erstfund von zwei Neomida haemorrhoidalis-Weibchen an Baumschwamm an einem toten, aber noch stehenden Birkenstamm. ;-) Kl. Ca.5-6mm.

Comment: Hallo Gagamba, da muss ich leider passen, hier geht es für mich leider nur bis zur Familie Attelabidae. LG, Christoph Ich denke, der gehört in die Gattung Paracycnotrachelus, welche zumindest in Thailand vorkommt, vermutlich also auch in Myanmar. Weiter wage ich mich nicht. Außer noch zur Anmerkung, dass das Tier mit dem langen Hals das Männchen ist (alter Angeber) :D. Was für zwei entzückende Käfer, die begeistern mich bis zum Überschnappen :). Übrigens ist die Gattung Trachelophorus tatsächlich endemisch auf Madagaskar, kommt also nur dort vor. LG Corinna

Ist es wirklich o.g. Käfer. Den Käfer fand ich am 20.9.20 im Wald. Er war 2 cm groß und schwarz. Beine und Bauchseite waren blauviolett schimmernd.
