On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo, ich hatte so einen schon mal eingereicht, mit dem Kommentar "häufig". Ihr hattet mein mieses Bild damals als Ablattaria laevigata bestimmt und selten dazugeschrieben. Ich habe heute noch mal nachgesehen ( 08.05.2015 ca. 13 mm) und die beiden hier fotografiert, sollte wieder diese Art sein. Hier sind die mit Phosphuga atrata vergesellschaftet, aber häufiger als diese.

Request: Hallo liebe Käferer. Heute hab ich zum ersten Mal Rhynchaenus fagi entdeckt, oder vielmehr seine zahlreich anzutreffenden Minen in Rotbuchenblättern (Fagus sylvatica). Auch wurde die Blutbuche (Fagus sylvatica f. purpurea) befallen. Es fanden sich viele Minen mit augenscheinlich gesunden, aber auch welche mit abgestorbenen Larven, teilweise noch sehr jungen Tieren. Mit zunehmender Größe werden die Minen leicht blasig; gut am Blattrand erkennbar. Ich habe maximal zwei Larven pro Blatt angetroffen, sonst zumeist einzeln. Viele Grüße! (08.05.2015, Deister, bei Kirchdorf, 130 m) P.S.: Wenn ich draußen schon gewusst hätte, dass die Minen von einem Käfer stammen, hätte ich sie nie so ausführlich fotografiert. :P

Request: Am 08.05.2015 in Degerndorf am Inn / Bayern. Auf einem Supermarktparkplatz in einer Baumgruppe, an einem mir unbekannten Baum. In 5 Minuten insgesamt 8 Exemplare gefunden. Max. 4mm lang. Ist das der seltene Malthinus facialis oder doch eher Malthodes minimus? Danke!

Request: Die Käfer flug mir heute (8-5-2015) auf meinem Jacke ins Krimbos, auf die Nordpunkt des Watteninsel Texels in die Niederlände. Er war kleiner als 1 cm.
