On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Sorry für das unscharfe Bild, wollte den eigentlich gar nicht melden, aber vielleicht geht ja was. 10.05.2015, Waldrand, in einem kleinen Bäumchen. Ca. 2mm. Grünlich schillernde Flügeldecken, rötlicher "Kopf". Crepidodera aurata?

I found this one above 600 m. Almost Belgium's highest point :)

Request: Carabus sp.??? Ihr Lieben! Vor Ort meinte ich, wieder einmal ohne Brille, einen C. nemoralis zu sehen - wegen der intensiven violetten Färbung und der Grösse (geschätzte 28, eher 29 mm). Er hatte sich da in den Efeuwurzeln an irgendetwas festgebissen. Im Abgleich mit eurer Datenbank finde ich aber keinen Carabus mit einer solchen Kettenzeichnung auf den Fld.. Also: einmal mehr geht ohne euch NIX! Aargau, Kaisten an Efeu auf Baumstamm, ca. 330 m üNN am 10.05.2015 Danke für eure Hilfe! LG Chris

Request: Hallo liebes Käferteam,
ist das Schizotus pectinicornis? Der Halsschild stört mich beim Vergleichen. Und auch die Größe, dieser Käfer war ca.12 mm groß. Gefunden habe ich ihn heute, 10.5.2015 auf einer Wiese in einem Seitental der Murg. Ich denke, ihr müsst meine Bestimmung wohl korrigieren...

Comment: Hallo Manfred, ganz andere Baustelle: es ist ein Schnellkäfer, Anostirus purpureus. Es gibt noch eine ähnliche Art, A. gracilicollis, die aber meist einen viel roteren Halsschild hat. Ganz sicher nur durch Betrachtung der Unterseite zu trennen (Analsternit). Viele Grüße, Michael
