Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Ein Vertreter der 8 Arten der Gattung Necrophorus in Deutschland: Rotgelbe Fühlerkeule, kerzengerade Hinterschienen, unbehaarter Halsschild, gelb behaarte Abdomenspitze und diffus lang zottig gelb behaarte Vorderbrust machen ihn zu Necrophorus investigator. Holarktisch verbreitet, an Aas. Die Milben sind keine Parasiten, sondern benutzen den Käfer nur als (Flug-) Taxi. Phoresie nennt man dieses Verhalten. Hallo zusammen, dieser Käfer hier kletterte an Silvester aus einem Haufen Brennholz (Buche) leider komme ich bei der Bestimmung nicht wirklich weiter. Ich vermute eine Art der Scarabaeidae (er ähnelt sehr Valgus hemipterus) was mich etwas verwundert ist der lange Legebohrer. Vielleicht sind mir auch bisher nur Männchen begegnet?   Hallo Jochen, den würde ich für ein Männchen von Luperus luperus halten, weil die Mittel und Hinterschienen von der Mitte zum Apex angedunkelt sind, bei L. longicornis sollten sie ganz gelb sein.   Hallo Jochen, es gibt zwar noch zwei ähnlich gefärbte (seltenere) Verwechslungsarten (S. diversipes und S. flavicollis), deren Fld. aber feiner punktiert sind, daher ist Smaragdina salicina korrekt. Ostpaläarktis. Stenotop und xerothermophil, an Wärme- und Trockenhängen. Fundort passt also perfekt ;-) LG, Christoph
