Species, family:
Cantharidae sp.
Cantharidae
Comment: Hi Inja, from this angle I'm not even really sure about Cantharis or Rhagonycha. In case of Cantharis C. rufa or C. cryptica are likely. In case of Rhagonycha R. translucida might be a probable candidate. So I think I leave it with Cantharidae sp. here. Regards, Christoph

Species, family:
Oulema cf. gallaeciana
Chrysomelidae
Comment: Hi Inja, this is most probably Oulema gallaeciana. With some residual uncertainty, as I would need a high-res photo to judge the structure of the base of the pronotum. Regards, Christoph

Species, family:
Cantharis fusca
Cantharidae
Comment: Hi Inja, this is Cantharis fusca as the black mark on the pronotum touches to front of the pronotum. In case this mark was isolated in the middle, it would be Cantharis rustica. Europe from North Spain to South Russia. Regards, Christoph

Request: Hallo!

In Europa. Zur Entwicklung siehe hier. Grüße, Christoph

Request: Hallo!

Request: Huhu! Hier tippe ich auf Trox sabulosus. Gefunden in der Wahner Heide, am 19. Mai 2013. Ca. 9mm lang. Danke schön und liebe Grüße!
Species, family:
Trox sabulosus
Trogidae
In sandigen Gebieten. An tierischen Resten. LG, Christoph

Request: Hallo, diesen Rosenkäfer fand ich am 19. Mai 2013 in Westhoven, Köln.
LG, Christoph

Request: Found (19/05/2013) in close neighbourhood of Szczyrk (South Poland), mixed forest in mountains. I try with another photos of Lochmaea. Maybe these could be better :)
Species, family:
Lochmaea cf. capreae
Chrysomelidae
Comment: Hi Inja, in this case, I use rather the habitat information you provided to make a determination: L. capreae is eurytopic and lives on willow (Salix), poplar (Populus) and birch (betula). L. suturalis however is stenotopic and xerophilic. It can be found on heathland and is monophagous on common heather (Calluna vulgaris). If this plant is not present in the area, L. capraea is most likely. Regards, Christoph

No date of discovery found. Please contact webmaster!
Request: Slovenia, forest. The wings were realy colored as it is seen on photo - not uniformly. Cantahris nigricans ?
Species, family:
cf. Metacantharis sp.
Cantharidae
Comment: Hi BubikolRamios, this is an interesting one, and it leaves my kind of clueless: Everything would fit for Metacantharis discoidea, coloration of pronotum, elytra and legs. Only thing is: the rear half of the head should be orange instead of black. So something doesn't fit, but I have no clue where to search, especially in the Slovenian fauna. Regards, Christoph
