On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Found last week in close neighborhood of hungarian border with Romania. On Carduus L.
Species, family:
Lixus cf. angustatus
Curculionidae
Comment: Hi Inja, I checked the Romanian Lixus fauna on Fauna Europaea and tried to exclude either by habitus and/or host plant. I ended up with L. angustatus. That being said, please keep in mind that I'm not an expert for the weevil fauna of Southeast Europe. So my guess should be taken with care and not be regarded as firm determination. Regards, Christoph

Request: 26.5.2013, auf Blatt, bodennah, tippe mal magdalis frontalis
LG rüssler und danke
Species, family:
Pselaphorhynchites longiceps
Rhynchitidae

Hier also Charopus flavipes. Europa ohne den Westen, Käfer an schatigen Orten (lichte Laubwälder, Waldränder), frißt an Pollen. LG, Christoph

Gibt's vielleicht weitere (dorsale) Aufnahmen? I leave it for the others to take a look on it.Regards, Klaas Can't say more than Klaas already did. Regards, Christoph
