On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo,
lange konnte ich mich bei dem nicht entscheiden ob es C. sanguinolenta oder C. kuesteri ist.
Gefunden an einem Grashalm, was auch nicht weiterhilft.
Inzwischen tendiere ich zu einem Kompromisskandidaten Chrysolina gypsophilae.
Liege ich damit richtig?

Comment: Hallo AxelS, aufgrund der nur sehr feinen Halsschildpunktur ist das Chrysolina sanguinolenta, die noch weitaus häufigste der insgesamt recht seltenen schwarzen Arten mit rotem Rand.
