On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: ca 10-11mm groß. Hat sich heute zu uns in die Wohnung verirrt (Saalfelden, Ö-Bayr. Grenzraum auf ca 750mNN). Setzte ihn dann auf ein Rosenblatt, um ihn zu fotografieren. Bin mir ziemlich sicher, dass es ein Hylobius abietis ist. Bitte um Bestätigung! Danke!

Comment: Hallo Gerd, bestätigt als Männchen von Ptilinus pectinicornis. Die mittleren Fühlerlamellen sehr lang, fast so lang wie der Halsschild. Bei der Schwesterart P. fuscus kürzer, halb so lang wie der Halsschild (hier vergleichen). Vor allem an harten Laubhölzern (Buche). In ganz Europa, ohne den äußersten Süden. Häufig. LG, Christoph

Request: Diesen über und über blau metallic glänzenden Käfer fand ich heute auf der Hauswand (Saalfelden, Ö-Bayr. Grenzgebiet auf etwa 750mNN). Vor ein paar Tagen sah ich einen gleichen (ähnlichen) auf einem Holzstaffel, hatte aber keinen Fotoapparat dabei.
Zunächst dachte ich an Callidium violaceum, ab da passt mir der Halsschild und die Fühler nicht. Bitte um Bestimmung! Danke!

Comment: Hallo Guntram, doch doch, ein Callidium violaceum. Halsschild, Fühler und Habitus passen doch wunderbar. Früher paläarktisch verbreitet ist er nun nach Einschleppung in Nordamerika holarktisch. Entwickelt sich in verschiedenen Nadelhölzern. LG, Christoph

Comment: Moin Karl, Cantharis rufa ist nur eine von mehreren Möglichkeiten. Ohnre Genital geht hier eigentlich nichts. Der fundort Herzogenrath läßt aber nur noch C. cryptica offen, die aber aufgrund der Beinfärbung weniger in Frage kommt. Deshalb rufa, aber mit cf. wegen der Verwechselungsmöglichkeit. Request: Hallo zusammen, diese Rüsselkäfer fand ich heute, 09.06.13, in unserem Garten an Knoblauchsrauke (Alliaria petiolata). Ich bin bei der Gattung Ceutorhynchus gelandet und durch etwas Websuche habe ich rausgefunden, dass unter anderem die Arten C. alliaria und C. contractus an dieser Pflanze leben. Kann man die Art genauer bestimmen? Vielen Dank schonmal und viele Grüße, Mario

Comment: Moin Mario, Ceutorhynchus ist auf alle Fälle richtig. Möglicherweise C. obstrictus, aber es gibt weitere, sehr ähnliche Arten, weshalb es hier am foto bei Ceutorhynchus spec. bleibt..., zumindest für mich. Viele Grüße, Klaas

Request: Huhu! Am 7. Juni 2013 habe ich einige dieser Käferchen nahe der A4 bei Köln gefunden, in einer kleinen Brache mit Brennesseln, Disteln und Butterblumen. Der untere müsste doch nen roten Kopf haben, oder? In der Nähe waren mehrere eindeutige weibliche Anthaxia nitidula und rot-grüne Pärchen zu sehen, oder ist das hier was anderes? Danke für Aufklärung ;-) und liebe Grüße!
