View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Silpha-Larve?
ca. 12 mm , an alter Ziegenlippe (Pilz: Xerocomellus chrysenteron) am Waldweg, 15.7.17
Species, family:
Silpha sp.
Silphidae

LG, Christoph

Request: I found this beetle on the Northern Railway Bridge between the IV. and the III. district in Budapest on 03.07.2017. It was at least 55 mm, maybe even larger. I'm almost sure that it's a Körnerbock, Megopis scabricornis, but I'd like to confirm it since there are some similar species.
Species, family:
Megopis scabricornis
Cerambycidae
Comment: Hi SkynetTX, confirmed as Megopis scabricornis. Best regards, Christoph

LG, Christoph
