View answered requests for beetle ID
|
On this page you can find photos submitted by users from the start in 2012 till the shutdown in 2023. If possible, the species are identified by the kerbtier.de ID team. Sometimes determination by photo only is impossible, in this case a hint on family and genus and potential species will be given.

Request: Hallo liebe Nutzer von kerbtier.de.
Ich kenne diese Plattform erst seit August

Request: I live in Japan, I visited a volcano sulfur spring located at 1251 Sengokuhara, Hakone-machi, Ashigarashimo-gun 250-0631, Kanagawa Prefecture (Japan). This beetle was flying around and landing around a volcano sulfur spring. Discovered on 28.07.2017, the species is Rosalia alpina (Linnaeus, 1758)
Species, family:
Rosalia batesi
Cerambycidae
Comment: Hi Anita and welcome to kerbtier.de! The species you observed is not Rosalia alpina - the alpine longhorn beetle is a European species which does not cross the Ural mountains. This species is Rosalia batesi, a far east asian species of the same genus distributed over Japan, Taiwan and the Koreas. Best regards, Fabian

Request: 19.10.2017; Moorwald, aus einem gammligen Bovist gepult. 490m üNn. Gemessen ca.2,5-3mm. ???
Species, family:
Cryptophagus lycoperdi
Cryptophagidae
